GUIDES/COMPARISON

Rebuy does everything. Except, maybe, your bundles.

Rebuy is a genuinely good personalization platform, and this page will not pretend otherwise. But if you landed here, one specific thing is probably bothering you: what your kits look like in the cart, in the order, or in your ERP. That slice is our whole product.

Short version: Rebuy (on the App Store since 2019, 4.7 stars across roughly 850 reviews) is an AI personalization engine: upsells, cross-sells, smart cart, search, post-purchase flows, A/B testing. Stores that use it well make real money with it. Bundles appear in that list as one offer type among many, and that is precisely the issue this page is about. A platform whose center of gravity is recommendation quality treats the bundle's afterlife, in the cart line, the pick list, and the ERP export, as someone else's problem. For operations-heavy stores it becomes your problem. Solving it is our entire product: bundles serious operations can trust.

What Rebuy is genuinely good at

Personalization breadth and intelligence: data-driven upsells and cross-sells across product page, cart, checkout and post-purchase, smart search and merchandising, rules plus AI, A/B testing, and integrations across the modern Shopify stack. If your goal is squeezing more revenue from every session with one connected suite, Rebuy is one of the category's serious answers, and nothing below argues otherwise.

The slice a suite does not center

Ask three narrow questions about kits, on any suite. Does the cart and checkout show the shopper exactly what is inside the kit, per line? Does the order your 3PL imports contain real component SKUs it can pick without a translation table? Do the order lines carry original prices with the discount allocated per line, so an ERP or accountant can reconcile them against your price list? These are not personalization questions, so platforms rarely lead with the answers. Get them empirically: place a test order and read it. The five-minute test works on any app.

Solid Bundles answers all three structurally. Kits expand during checkout, through Shopify's native Cart Transform, into real component SKUs at original prices with per-line discount allocation. The storefront widget lists every component, with the shopper's chosen variant, right in the cart line properties. And the app never writes to your inventory: availability is computed live from component stock, verified in every market on demand and again every night.

Keep the suite, fix the kits

The usually-right answer is not either-or. If Rebuy earns its keep on recommendations, keep it there and let a dedicated kit app own the bundle products; the two layers do not compete. The one rule of coexistence: do not point two product discounts at the same line item, because Shopify applies one and shoppers see the difference at checkout. Kits defined in Solid Bundles carry their own pricing, so the clean split is: Rebuy decides what to offer next, Solid Bundles defines what a kit is and what lands in the order.

If, on the other hand, bundles were the main reason you pay for Rebuy, compare the bills below and draw the obvious conclusion.

Who should do what

What is Solid Bundles?

Solid Bundles is Crescano's Shopify app for fixed bundles, kits and quantity breaks, built on Shopify's Cart Transform API. The setup guide, 3PL guide, and troubleshooting docs are public.

Install the trial next to your existing stack, define one kit, and place a test order. Read what your warehouse would receive. If it is not obviously better for the ops side, uninstall and nothing in your store has changed, by architecture. Questions about coexistence with your current apps? Email [email protected]: the founder answers, usually within hours.
