Solid Bundles ships Sidekick App Data and App Actions extensions. Data questions are answered read-only from your store's actual state; anything that would change the store opens the app's own editor pre-filled, and nothing exists until you press Save. Prompts below are phrasings we test against a live store; Sidekick understands variations of them, and voice input works.
Reading your bundle world
- "Which bundle offers do I have, and are they active?" Lists offers with kind (fixed bundle, quantity breaks, bought-together, build-a-box), status, sync state, latest verification result, and a link into the app. Filter naturally: "show my paused offers", "just the build-a-box ones".
- "What's in the Hydration Kit, exactly?" Full configuration of one offer: components with quantities and prices, discount tiers and target SKUs, pool and pick range, plus the Shopify product id and SKUs behind it.
- "Why isn't my bundle showing on the product page?" The diagnosis tool: checks offer status, sync errors, store-wide pause, whether the widget block is on the product template, and the latest verification run, and names the specific reason.
- "How many complete sets of the Ritual Set can I still build?" Buildable-sets math from live component stock, per bundle.
- "Did my bundles pass verification last night?" The latest verification result per offer: what passed, what failed, and why.
Drafting and editing, with you confirming
- "Create a bundle from the shampoo, conditioner and serum at 15% off." Opens the bundle editor pre-filled: product hints resolved to your real variants, discount set, title drafted. Review, adjust, Save. The same works for quantity breaks ("2 for 10%, 3 for 15% on the shampoo"), bought-together offers, and build-a-box ("let shoppers pick any 4 from the minis at 20% off").
- With an editor open: "make the discount 20%", "rename it Winter Ritual", "pause this offer". Sidekick stages the change into the form; you press Save.
The confirmation model
Three tiers, and the third is deliberately empty: read (data tools, read-only as policy), stage (pre-filled forms and staged edits, persisted only when you press Save), and commit: nothing. No path through the integration writes to your store silently. Shopify adds its own per-conversation activation and per-action consent on top.
Good to know
- No setup, no extra cost. The extensions ship with the app; Sidekick discovers them once the app is installed.
- Ask from anywhere. Sidekick works on every admin screen. If a data question fails while you are on the app's own page, ask again from admin Home; that is a known Shopify quirk, not a configuration problem.
- Scope. Sidekick sees what the app sees: offers, sync state, verification, buildable sets. It does not gain any write access the app itself does not have, and the app has none to your inventory.
Install, open Sidekick anywhere in the admin, and ask "why isn't my bundle showing?". Questions about the integration: [email protected].
